Andrew Wildman gives details on his return to Transformers Comics

Transformers artist Andrew Wildman updated his personal blog, Wild words, with some details on his upcoming return, and perhaps a final farewell, to the Transformers universe via 6 covers for the next releases of IDW Publishing.

In the update, he gives us an idea of what to expect from the latest illustrations he provides. Here’s what he had to share:

Some of you may know that I am preparing a set of six TRANSFORMERS sleeves for IDW. I have sketched them all out and await comments. The finish on these is going to be a little different than usual. Much more like the finish I used on the Grimlock artwork commissioned for AUTO ASSEMBLY, the UK Transformers comic convention. I’m going to switch to color with these so I’ll be putting something in as they’re done, that’s if IDW lets me * wink *.

Grimlock’s illustration just to give you a hint on what the covers might look like:

Uh guys, this AHM13 auto assembly blanket is from NICK ROCHE.

First credit the art of the Shout Factory DVD to Guido (it’s Andrew Griffith’s) without correcting it, and now this? Don’t make me take the Botcon rewards away from them. ;)

Holy shit, I knew that too. What Grimlock is he talking about then? Was this a sketch only available from AA? Anyone who could help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the obvious correction Rabbit, I appreciate you watching over us.

He means it’s an exclusive postcard and was used for some of the AA passes and yes I have the postcard and I signed it by Gregg Berger.
